If you are a teacher, a SENCO or other education professional, ENABLE will help you to:

Identify Needs

Identify the emotional and social learning needs of children with behaviour problems

IEPs and PSPs

Create a profile for each child that contributes to an Individual Education Plan (IEP) or a Pastoral Support Programme (PSP)

Monitoring

Monitor a child’s emotional and social development with detailed reports and record-keeping

Action Plans

Compile a clear, positive action plan of preventative measures, one-to-one responses, teaching strategies, curriculum approaches and learning activities

Young Person Involvement

Involve the child in discussing and agreeing learning targets


 

But that's not all.  ENABLE will also help schools to:

  • develop partnerships with parents
  • decide on action plans for the school as a whole, so that it can successfully provide for the learning needs and learning targets that have been identified for children with EBD
  • provide support for school managers in setting appropriate and challenging targets for young people with the aim of improving performance
  • identify and refer pupils to out-of-school support services, agencies and related organisations, such as School Action Plus
  • prepare for annual reviews and statutory assessments of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
